In many situations involving caring for a loved one facing a significant health challenge or life-changing event, effective communication can often feel difficult and overwhelming. Whether you are the one seeking support or the one offering it, articulating needs, sharing updates, and coordinating assistance may lead to misunderstandings or unintended stress.

The b-there app aims to address these challenges by providing a secure, invitation-only platform that simplifies the expression of needs, status updates, and support preferences. It facilitates clear communication, reduces miscommunication, and helps manage visitors and activities precisely according to the user's wishes.

Getting started is straightforward: the app is free, available for download from major app stores. Users can register quickly through their existing Google, Facebook, or Apple accounts or via email with a password. After setting up a profile, users can begin establishing their support network.

As a private, invite-only service, b-there allows users to selectively invite trusted contacts by email. Once accepted, these contacts form their support network with visibility limited to what the user permits. Users retain full control over who is included at any time and can remove individuals when necessary.

Updating one's status is designed to be quick and intuitive. Users can share brief notes about how they are feeling, select an emoji representing their mood, specify their availability for visitors or activities, and indicate whether health-related questions are acceptable on that day. Should circumstances change, status updates can be made easily to inform supporters of new conditions or limitations.

An additional feature, the wishlist, enables users to request specific supports—such as meals, comfort items, or visits—by providing details and desired dates. Supporters invited to view the wishlist can sign up to fulfill these requests, with privacy settings controlling who can see each wish. Once a wish is claimed, it becomes inactive to avoid duplication.

Overall, b-there provides a streamlined solution for managing caregiving communications and support coordination. Its design eliminates guesswork and reduces stress for both caregivers and recipients, fostering an environment of clarity and mutual understanding.
